Top Brands That Rule the World

The Software Development Company referring to the research firm Superbrands published the list of the UK’s strongest consumer brands. Superbrands ranking is based on the views of 2100 consumers. Microsoft is unsurprisingly hitting the list surpassing its longtime rival Google. It looks like the competition between these two IT giants is becoming fiercer as time marches on. With Google’s intentions to create an ideal operating system and Microsoft’s striving to outrun Google search engine with Bing, these IT world rulers are struggling aggressively for consumers’ sympathy.

By the way, Google lost its number position comparing to 2008 and slipped two places to the third position, while Rolex appeared to be number two. Another IT big player Apple is also in the list with number 9 position. Then, such companies as Royal Doulton, Bosch, BMW, Nike and Sony were edged out from the list of leaders by embattled LEGO and Coca-Cola both back after one year of absence. This year new entry Encyclopedia Britannica hit full stride moving from the 29th position in 2008 to the tenth this year.
