Top Most Expensive Cities I Can’t Now Afford to Live In
Each year a few research agencies compile the lists of the most expensive and cheapest cities to live in. To my mind, this list would not change significantly but the global crisis, downturn in the world’s economy and corresponding shifts in currency rates contributed to considerable swapping in the list of the most expensive cities. Here in my blog I would like to walk you through the most expensive and the cheapest cities in the world.
As yen is on the rise against dollar and other currencies, the Japanese cities hit the list of the most expensive cities on Earth. Moreover, four Japanese cities are present in top 5 priciest cities according to the ECA International annual ranking. At the forefront is Luanda, the capital of Angola. Then, in accordance with the Mercer research Tokyo is the most expensive city in the world. The results of these two researches differ, so comparing the results of these both studies I will outline the most expensive cities where I am, being cash strapped, not ready yet to live in.
1. Tokyo. With immensely high cost of living and average price for movie ticket of about 20$ this city still remains a dream destination for me.

2. Osaka is another too expensive city for me to live in Japan.

3. Moscow. The Russian capital hits the list each year. Till the prices for oil remains high, Moscow will always be one of the most expensive cities in the world.

4. Geneva and Zurich – two cities I can’t yet afford to visit and live in Switzerland.

5. Hong Kong

That’s interesting that London is now on the 16th position even though it always used to be at the forefront of the most expensive cities in the world.
